Tight group powder

Whats the take on Tight group powder below a .45 230gr fmj acp through a 5" 1911 all around practice, compitition, plinking compaired to older powders any advantages or short fallings in comparisons? and what is your favorite powder for this round and why?

  I use 5.3 gr of 231 with 230 fmj as my standard load and 8.2 gr AA5 for a hotter load. These loads work well in all of my 45 ACP pistols.
