model 1 sales kits for AR15/m4 carbine?

Im interested in building my own AR15 rifle in the M4 format, and ive seen alot of ads for model 1 sales for kits, but am cautious. Im wondering if anyone has bought one of these kits and had any problems with it or the company? They are at www.model1sales.com....prices seem ok, cant see that Id save any money by building my own, but then again, Im doing it for the experience and feeling of accomplishment. But if I can get a bushmaaster rifle, already built, for about the same money, Id rather have that.

I have a few Duncan Long books on the AR15 and notice he thinks highly of a company called Eagle Arms - are they still around? If so, does anyone have info relating to a website for them, or a phone #?

    Eagle Arms changed their name to ArmaLite, copying the original name of the company that developed and first produced the M16 under the direction of Eugene Stoner. www.armalite.com

    I haven't purchased any parts from Model 1 Sales in over two years and never will again. My experiences with them was not good. First off their service was poor and personnel were rude. I didn't receive a firng pin, in addition to other parts I ordered and when I called to notify them of their error I was basically called a liar and told that the firing pin was packed in the order and I was trying to rip them off. Secondly, they sell lower grade or factory reject parts. A bolt carrier I received from them was damaged. It had marks on it indicating a tool had broken during the manufacturing process. Being a machinist I could tell the carrier had been repaired so it would function properly but visually it looked bad. Also an upper receiver I got from them still had rough areas from the casting process on the underside of the carry handle that are always machined off smooth. Trying to get them to take back the bad parts was like pulling teeth from an alligator.....it didn't happen and I was stuck with them. I've also noticed other parts that required fitting or had slight imperfections. I've heard many other stories as well about their service and products that were alot worse than mine.
