    I don't think it's pre-ban, based on the marked 1/7 barrel.

    not a preban because it says "sporter"

    to be sure, check here: http://www.ar15.com/content/legal/serialNumberList.html

    if it is pre ban, it should get about 1,000 with everything. if not pre-ban, around 750 with everything.

    The ar-15 site you posted shows this to be a pre ban...so 1000 for everything??? including the conversion kit and scope ???

    it can be a preban if it says sporter...you will have to check the serial number. (gun is worth alot more than posted with all the accesories) gun alone is worth 1000 and maybe more to the right buyer..preban reciever prices are way up now...

    Even a NIB pre-ban AR-15 rifle with all original accessories would only bring around $1,200. Yes, I see ads offering 99% rifles for $1,600, but they don't sell at that price.

    maggiethecat's estimates reflect the reality of the market. The lack of box/accessories, and the 2% wear, understandably lowers the value of your rifle by $300-400.

    While the Leupold is a good scope, & certainly worth > $100 if sold separately, it wouldn't be my choice for an AR. Most folks buying the rifle wouldn't pay extra for that scope.

    Scope 150-175, conversion kit 100-125, you may have to go to the big auction site to get these prices. Gun will bring 900-1000 here.

    i'm giving you the value of them in my area(dallas-fort worth tx). I am very involved in the ar15 culture around here. your rifle, with all items listed would bring about $1,000 from an experienced buyer, a couple hundred more from a rube. my advice, if you are selling it, try to find someone new to ar's

    magg...you are very much involved in the ar-15 culture in texas but you have stated that a sporter can not be preban...sounds like your a little weak on the subject..gunbroker at its finest!!! hardly..if you would like to sell your piece at these prices they are quoting please e-mail myself and i will purchase your rifle with all that you have listed... thanks tom....p.s. go to ar15.com they will tell you anything you would like to know. you will have to register though toolman9mm@yahoo.com

    Thank You Toolman...I took the gun to a local sporting goods store here this afternoon and they said the same as you. Wonder why I get such a difference in prices ? it cant be the area or people would buy there and sell here.

    easily a $1200 rifle, without accessories. And as stated above SPORTER does not mean it's a postban. I will challenge anyone to find me a rifle like this with accessories listed for $1000. As a matter of fact I'll give a $100 finders fee to you for pointing me in the right direction. So, go ahead, scour that local market with the damn near free NIB AR15 prebans, get me the seller info, and get rich yourself.
