93 Mauser action
Thinking about rebarreling a 93 action for 243. What are the other calibers withing pressure tolerances for this action?

.234 IS TO HOT FOR A '93, STAY WITH .250 SAV./7MM MAUSER/OR SIMILAR 0 -
Try the 257 roberts. Its a good multi purpose caliber that is with the design pressure of the SR mausers. Nothing wrong wit the 7x57 either, I have one here that I am very pleased with the way it is.

.257 R IS OK ALSO, JUST DON'T USE THE +P AMMO. 0 -
You could go with the 257 Roberts as previously stated. However, the small-ring Mausers were usually chambered in 6.5x55 Swedish, 7x57 Mauser, and 8x57 Mauser. All of which are wonderful cartridges. The 6.5mm, in particular, delivers excellent accuracy.

Thanks for the info. 7x57 may be the easiest, just seemed a bit much for a small deer/varmit caliber for the wife!
