EAA Witness 10mm

I rercently purchased a 10mm Witness. I came with a ten round mag. I intend to use this gun for deer hunting in MI. The problem is, that a semi-auto must have no more than 8 rounds in the mag. Does anyone know what the best procedure is for blocking this magazine to hold 8 rounds or less.

    I am looking at a EAA Witness 10mm pistol. Does anyone have experience with any Witness? I see some decent reviews on GunReview.

    There's several members on here that have the Witness in 10mm. A friend of mine has it in .40 S&W and I shot it extensively without a malfunction. I greatly prefer the 10mm over the .40 or even the .45 since it is more powerful. The Witness is the second 10mm on my list (after a S&W 1076), the only reason is the 1076 is first is that it is a little thinner and would likely make a better CCW gun.
    The Witness is based off the CZ-75 which in its own right is a very reliable pistol with many military's around the world using it. For the money I think you'd be hard-pressed to find a better one.
    Great choice on the cartridge choice too, glad to have someone else on here who knows the potential of the 10mm. [:)]

    I recently bought a 10mm, full size. I took it to the range last week and shot a box of Hornady 180 gr. JHP/XTP. The gun is very accurate. I shot it out to about 20 yards. The single action trigger is very smooth and crisp. Double action leaves something to be desired. I had no failures to feed or fire. The finish on the gun is very rough, but I dont mind as I intend to use it for hunting. The sights are decent and the gun handles quite well. I think this is one of the best deals on a handgun in the 330.00 price range out there. One big drawback on the 10mm is, the ammo is $12.00 per 20. I intend to use mine for still hunting for whitetails.

    I don't have any personal experience with the Witness in 10mm but I don't know of any of the CZ clones that are shoddy. I have often wondered why the original (CZ) doesn't make a 10 or 45 on that platform. They do have the CZ97 in 45 but it is a considerably beefier version of the CZ75. Could CZ be saying something about long term reliability of the design with the larger calibers?

    The design of this hand gun closly matches the design of the Bren 10. As we know this is the original 10mm. We also know that the 1911 design and the 10mm did not do well. It took several modification to make the 1911 and 10mm work together. Even today I would say it is iffy. I have no issue with the design of the EAA or the calibur. I have never heard of any one stating that the EAA Witness in 10mm has a problem or issue. My 2 cents [8D]
    PS I own one of these in full size.
