    Has anyone ever heard of H&A? This is a black powder pistol, looks like maybe 50 cal. Serial# barely visable.

    There was an old-time maker of firearms known as Hopkins and Allen. Civil-war era and later as far as I know, although they may go back further than that. Hope that helps, but a more detailed description of the gun would bring further information from others.

    Welcome to the Forum: Hopkins and Allen Were active from 1868 to 1915 in Norwich, Conn. Makers of a large line of suicide Specials. Spur trigger revolvers as well as some larger revolvers....A better discription would be of emmence help in identifying what you have...How about a Photo?....Best......

    Thanks Guys...I'll see what i can do about the photo. The gun is not in the greatest condition. would it be a bad idea to have it reconditioned?

    Not worth investing the money into....Never worth much in new condition...Not gonna be worth much after rebuilding...Waste of Money...just Shadow Box it and hang it on the Wall and enjoy it.....
