Need information on restoring pocket knives.

  There are a number of books available and I've seen them mostly at Knife Shows. Restoration and counterfeiting are almost the same thing to a collector, except a restoration doesn't attempt to deceive the prospective buyer, at least the first buyer!

  I'm trying to figure out how to do a nice restoration of a couple of knives - a Kershaw 1040 that's a real beater, and a WWII Kabar.
