  What brand?
  
  Bolt?
  
  Lever?
  
  Rifle?
  
  Revolver? Help us here.[:D][;)]
  
  On mine it is roll died into the left side of the barrel:
  
  WINCHESTER MODEL 43-218BEE-
  
  The serial # is on the front right side of the receiver.
  Just ahead of the bolt opening.
  ....................
