Savage model 99 300 savage/410 shotgun
Has anyone addressed the problem of worn threads on the barrels of this set-up. The barrel I have turns past the mark and the barrel actually wobbles slightly. Unfortunately it is the 300 barrel that I am speaking of and it won't throw lead at the same target anymore!

I am not sure if this has been addressed previously. With the situation you are talking about-do not fire that gun. I have never observed a Savage TD in the condition you are talking about. Many questions but will ask only a few. Does the .410 bore barrel thread into the action properly? Are the threads on the .300 and the .410 the same configuration? I am talking square threads vs. "V". My TD's
have square threads. I am wondering if your .300 barrel has V threads.
Are the threads disfigured/trashed ? What is the condition of the receiver threads? 101
