I need help,which bore sighting unit can you use, to sight your rifle scope, at 200 yard zero
most boresighting tool says you have to start at 25 yards,but is there
one that you can zero your scope without have to start at 25 then 50 then on,any help is welcome thanks

    Most bore-sighters aren't accurate enough to be on at 200 yards. However, it's possible to simply add elevation to your scope after zeroing it at a 50 yards. Of course there's no replacement for throwing lead down range and remember in the end a bore-sighter is simply meant to put your first shot on paper so you can fine-tune it from there.
    The last rifle I bought had a scope on it and the shop bore-sighted it for me and I was over 15" low and 12" to the left at 100 yards...

    I use my eyes.

    I remove the bolt, look at an object 250yds away through the bore, set the clamps on the barrel (to hold it tightly to the couch), then click the scope onto the distant object.
    I'm usually on paper at 100yds with the first shot, and I adjust from there.

    LIKE THE OTHER POSTERS SAID, BORE SIGHTING IS NOT AN EXACT SCIENCE. IT IS ONLY TO PUT YOU ON PAPER AT 25/100 YRDS. THE HIGHT OF THE SCOPE RINGS WILL AFFECT THE BORE SIGHTER TO.

    Read what Fort Knox said above. He has put it all down very well. I have used a bore sighter for over 30 years. Mine is a Wilson it can be used on Rifles, Pistols, Scopes, Iron Sights Etc. Through a LOT of practice I can put you on target with it at 200 yards. It has cross hairs that are at 45 degs. If you shoot high power rifle matches like I do you already know that the bullet if bore sighted goes up on the left and down on the right side of the bore line when fired at long range. So when setting up your scope for long range set it to the left a little up to 275 yards at 400 yards it should have returned at 600 and a 1000 yards it should be to the right. To see how this works lay beside someone who is shooting at very long range (600 plus yards) and watch the bullet trace with a spotting scope. The bullet makes a clockwise loop. If you have a left hand twist to the rifling (British Guns) everything is opposit.[^] My Wilson bore sighter was not cheap when I bougth it in the 1960's.
