EAA Witness 10mm
I rercently purchased a 10mm Witness. I came with a ten round mag. I intend to use this gun for deer hunting in MI. The problem is, that a semi-auto must have no more than 8 rounds in the mag. Does anyone know what the best procedure is for blocking this magazine to hold 8 rounds or less.

I am looking at a EAA Witness 10mm pistol. Does anyone have experience with any Witness? I see some decent reviews on GunReview.

Does the law state that it can not HOLD more than 8 rounds, or that you can't LOAD more than 8 rounds?
That aside, I have blocked the mag on a couple guns before, but I had my brother-in-law's help (he works in a metal-working shop). You just have to disassemble it and find some suitable fill material (how's that for over-simplified?) [;)]0 -
It states, it is legal to carry a handgun that cannot exceed a maximum capacity of 9 rounds in the barrel and magazine combined. 0 -
Remove the base plate of the mag. Insert a small piece of wood or plastic so that it does not stop the spring from functioning but will allow only 8 or less rounds. Mark this mag differntly than your other mags as to not make a mistake. You can also go to the Tanfoglio web site and ask them this same question. They just might make a mag that only holds 8 rounds. Stranger things have happened in this world. [8D]
