Browning BDM

If any one has information about this gun or possibly an owners manual, I could sure use it.

    neighbor of mine has offered to sell me a browning bdm...anybody here have any insight into them in terms of problems and things to watch out for? ive already heard that the parts are hard to come by and the firing pins are brittle

    "Bad" is a relative term.
    But in all honesty the BDM is not a "Bad" gun.
    But then again it's not a "Great" gun.
    It has as good of "feel" as any Semi-Auto pistol ever made.
    THE BIG Problem as to why I didn't like the BDM is exactly what you alluded to.
    They didn't make the mags interchangeable with the High Power.
    I own several High-Powers and I didn't want to take a chance of
    a "Mag-Mix-Up". So I sold the BDM I bought, before I realized the mag problem.
    The mags are "Close" but NOT interchangeable.
    The trigger pull is worth having it "Tuned", if you have someone you
    trust to do it that won't charge and arm and a leg.
    15 round "Hi-Cap" Factory Mags can be found for the BDM.

    Thanks for the info. Like you I found the feel of the gun to be about the best of any auto I have held. Even better then my Kimbers. I guess I will put some money into it because I do like the gun, and keep a look out for the hi cap mags.
