Are you sure it isn't a model 608 357 magnum 8 shot? never seen or heard of a 44 8 shot.

It may be. How can I tell without asking him? He would know why I was asking. Since I want it to be a christmas present, that would defeat my purpose. [:D] Thanks. Sara

On the gun, it will be marked as to what caliber and model it is. If it is a 608 357 there are no factory speed loaders that I know of. The only ones I have ever seen were machined out of a chunk of aluminum by a friend of mine. I wish someone would make them.

since there are no speed loader available how about a speed strip, these are made out of rubber and hold I belive 6 rounds in-line , then they just go in your pocket or where ever, you could ask about them over on the wanted forum

I believe there is a Maxfire speedloader for the 8 shot 357 S&W or Taurus. You can order them from Brownells or Speedloaders.com

I forgot about the Maxfire ones, they aren't great , but are about the only options, and are cheap- $7 for 2
