Super Redhawk 454

one shot hunter
I have a new Super Redhawk in 454 Casull. I shot it this weekend and the cylinder won't spin after each shot. As I try to cock it I have to spin the cylinder manually with my off hand. I recieved this gun with Hogue grips, which I belive were put on after it left the factory. I am not a gunsmith, but if anyone knows what it could be please let me know.

    Has anyone had problems ejecting fired cases from a Super Redhawk 454? I'm using Hornandy 240 gr. hollow points. Even after a good cleaning the fired shells eject only after considerable force. Any suggestions?

    I would give Ruger a call, maybe they can repolish the chambers to make extraction easier.

    Are these reloads? If so, they are too hot!

    has it ever had 45lc shot in it? if so it could have a ring from the shorter shells

    Additionally when you cleaned it did you clean the cylinder bores with a brush and inspect them to see if you had all of.45 LC build up removed?
