Remington Model 11

CORREN
I have a Rem. M11 that has a 28" cyl. bore. Is this factory?
It is a 28" solid rib barrel, and is marked CYL underneath
the barrel, right in front of the extension.

    I have a Model 11 Remington marked with "Property U.S.Navy"
    that needs a barrel with the CUTTS Compensator. Is their a difference between the Model 11 and the "SPORTSMAN" barrels?
    Thanx for help..... I know squat about shotguns and want to acquire a "correct" barrel with Cutts for this WWII veteran

    Parts don't interchange between the two. Several dealers have barrels. If you can't find parts on GB, pick up a copy of Gunlist or Shotgun News.

    i have a complete 20ga rem m-11 with a smoothbore rifle sighted custom barrel and will put it on the auction to start about $250

    ive found that sometimes guns are like cars....sometimes its cheaper and faster to buy a whole seperate car and strip it of parts to get one good one to run. i would suggest you find another whole gun, combine all working parts to make one work, and sell off the extra parts to recoop your investment. youd be surprised how much those parts will sell for and to people much like yourself looking for them.

    I rebuilt a personally owned sawed-off (Hey! I didn't do it--and it was still a legal length anyway; just not a bird gun!) 12 ga. early last year, and obtained the barrel from Corson's Barrels. Don Corson told me that the Savage model's barrel would interchange with the Remington, but I opted to purchase a Remington-made barrel at a higher price because I didn't want a Remington that said Savage! Nevertheless, this gives you another possibility both for a source and a barrel. I imagine that a 20 ga. barrel will be more difficult to come by, but not impossible.

It is best to deal with Don directly; the lady there shipped me a mint condition Rem. 1100 barrel on the occassion I've related above. It's such a hassle to return stuff to people.

    Try Dominic he is real good at having barrels for new and used shotguns. Remington uses him on thier referal list.
