gun books for value

If I was buying books to value guns in general...Not books about specific guns but a general book for values...what would be the best ones...I get the Blue book now. Thanks in advance [:)]

    Do to the fact that many guns have a "Regional" appeal, it's hard to find anything "better" than the Blue Book. AND, even at that-the Blue Book is far from 100% on its values and information.
    I and many collectors/dealors use the Blue Book as a "Guide Line", but not verbatim.
    I myself, subscribe to Gun List-not only to possible find a "Keeper"; but mainly to use as a "Price Guide" that in fact may be more "On" than is the Blue Book.

    Another good referance is The Standard Catalog of Firearms. Again all the books should only be used as a guideline.

    If you have the time and like "browsing" then reading publications like "Shotgun News" and "Gun List" can give you a general idea of what certain things are being offered/sold for--you can do the same by browing http://www.gunbroker.com too!

    I'll also add Gun Traders Guide... That and the Blue Book covers 95% or better of all my pricing and research.
