Colt 1911 Double Holster Rig (update)
Anyone ever hear of a Western style double rig for
two Colt 1911's? With a single mag pouch to the rear
of each holster. Looks to be old, 50's-60's, shows damage to the belt tongue. Spring mechanism
in the holsters. Looks like the rear sight locks in a notch to hold
the pistol in. Saw it and was curious about it.

Should you find one, please let me know, I'm looking for that same setup...mine doesn't necessarily have to be in leather...
Thanks,

Appears to be inspired by "Hopalong Cassidy" what with the Black and White motif! The Mid 50's and the 60's spawned the age of the "Buscadero" Rigs and this one seems to be a "take-off" of one of those.
It would have definitely been a "custom made" item as no one I know of ever really made these as a commercial venture although the regular Buscadero Rigs for the Rugers and Colts and Clones are made to this day by many individuals operating a Saddlery of some sort. It would be nice to have a pattern made of this one........then you could use your .45 autos instead of them "Damned Old Slow Single Action.......!!!!!"
