Mossberg 500A Pre 1996 Difference?

I want to purchase a Ram-Line stock set for my gun. The set they have is for pre 1996 guns only. I got my gun from a family member and have no clue how old it is. Is there any way of telling a pre 96 model from a 96 and later model?

  I don't know of any differences... I have switched stocks from my old guns to my newer ones and vice versa.
