Special Model 10/22?

Just wondering if anyone else has seen this particular 10/22...I have only seen these models in Wal-Mart. It is a hardwood stock with a 20, or 22" bbl that is stainless with no barrel band on the end of the forearm. It is a very attractive piece, and priced at 214 it looks like a great deal. Anyone seen another like it, or is this ONLY sold in Wal-Mart?

  I is a walmart special as best as I can tell. The ones arround here have a 24" barrel. Kinda long for a 22, but different nonetheless.

  Chris78 if you remember next time your in wal mart ask to look at it and note the serial #'s on it. I personaly have never seen 1 but was very into the 10/22 a few years back and would like to do some checking into this.

  Go to Rimfirecentral.com and do a search for Wal-Mart. You'll probably have a dozen or so threads on this little rifle.

  If I remember right,they are also marked with the word rifle and not the word carbine.

  It is a Walmart special run. It is marked 10/22 Rifle,stainless,22 inch barrel,birch deluxe sporter stock,$214,and it has been out for around two years.
