Get yourself a medium size vibrating machine. The older style rotating drums, in my opinion, are less efficient.

For tumbling medium, I like crushed corn cob with chromium oxide. It cleans well and leaves a nice shine.

I have had my 1292 from midway running pretty much continuously for several years, no complaints, like $45.

the Midway unit is fine for 'smaller' batches,i've had mine for nearly 12 years now.
A while back I had mine next to a friends rcbs tumbler, and his green macnhine had way more power and capacity than mine,FWIW.

Throckmortons' the alias, cas is the game.

Someone on GB recommended rice as a polishing media and I tried it. It beats corn cob or walnut hull and it is cheap. It both cleans and polishes.
