Your thought on Stoeger's

I am looking for an inexpensive sxs (a newer one that can handle steel shot) I really like the Stevens 411, but I can't find one anywhere (no dealers in my state seem to know much about the gun).
However, there is a Stoeger dealer nearby that can get me an Uplander. Does anyone have any experince with this gun...if so please share your thoughts.
I am not too familar with the Stoeger brand, anyone who owns one (any model)give feedback.

    Had one in 26". Gun seemed OK, worked OK, kicked like a mule. I thought it was just me, a friend tried it,after about 20 trap loads handed it back and said "that's enough". I bought a fox model B, just cause, but feared it would be the same ol' deal and to my surprise was a pleasure to shoot. I've found that some sxs have a sharper angle on the butt of the stock. The p*ss elm stocks aren't all that rugged either as they seem to chip easily. Look around, I think you can find a nicer gun for the same or a little more cash. My opinion. Look back thru the archives we discussed this before and another fella said the same about his. The Baikal o/u seemes to be a very nice gun for around $400.
