Is the trigger adjustable on the Custom model? There is a hole to adjust it but I didn't know if they just use the same trigger on all models regardless of it's adjustability. It's a first generation model (i.e. not a 'II').

I don't know about the rifles ... but my .45 say right on them ... the Oregon is made in Clacksmuth(sp?) Oregon, the America is made in Yonkers New York.

Gee......I thought Oregon was part of America. New York--not too sure![;)] 0 -
umm, didn't we give New York back to the indians, and buy Oregon from the British??

I've only shot one of their rifles and it was a fine shooting gun. I don't know if it would have outshot some of my factory Remington's (namely the 700 VSSF in .220 Swift), but the action was smoother and the gun had a very nice fit/finish and balance. I recently bought a Kimber 10mm 1911 clone pistol and it also has the same quality fit and finish.
If I had the money I might invest in a Kimber rifle, but for hunting purposes I think I'll stick with other brands stainless/synthetic variants, not to mention Kimber doesn't offer a lot of the cartridge choices I want...0 -
Oh, and after I re-read your original question - look at where it's made (that'll also give you the rough years it was produced as well). I think the location stamp is on the barrel, seemed like it was the left side just in front of the action (but it has been a while since handling it). 0 -
Thanks all! Will make a close examination, and that should clear the air. GW. 0
