Looking for some opinions. I'm deciding what I want to do with a new gun. Primarily, I'm looking for a solution for a permanent gun for deer and turkey. I have a Mossberg 835. Option 1 is to buy a slug barrel for it, and mount some kind of scope on it, and just change barrels for deer and turkey, in which case I'll probably go out and buy the new 935 for waterfowl hunting, since thats where the majority of my shooting is as far as 12 gauge goes. Option 2 is to buy a single-shot, interchangable barreled gun. The two I like most are the T/C Encore and the new Mossberg SSI....I really like the value and quality of Mossberg, so thats probably my first choice in that department right now. They dont have as many barrels as the T/C, but more than enough to fit my purposes. Does anyone have an opinion? Or good/bad experiences with the 935 or SSI? Thanks

I like your Mossberg option. As stated, the value and reliability are hard to beat. Not the purrrrrtiest guns but they won't let you down.

I agree with Bobski!! I will also have to say I have a Mossberg 835 Ultimag like yourself and truly think it is a great gun at a great bargain. 0
