Whoa boy!! Getting an FFL is not like getting a book of discount pizza coupons.

It is a career path for sure. You have local, county, state, and federal hoops to jump through. Plus a sizable chunk of change to outlay getting started. It is a business.

If you just want to pick up a few weapons from time to time, best to give a commission to a local FFL to start with. Talk it over with him about what is required.

If you want only curio and relics, there is a licence you can get that most FFL's and distributors accept. That would be worth looking into.

    Good luck

If you are a collector, definatly get a C&R FFL. If you just want to buy a few modern firearms and save some bucks, don't bother. Just my opinion.

The short answer is "NO" unless you are going into the business of selling firearms. If you are just trying to save a few bucks on your personal firearms, you can find dealers that will charge 10% over wholesale. Pay it. Unless you are going to be buying an arsenal, you would not save anything by getting a FFL for a very very long time.
