JSC Barnaul Ammo---Any good?

    It's decent ammo. Surprisingly, Barnaul doesn't put nearly as much lacquer on their .223 or 7.62x39 ammo as Wolf does, but they seem to put twice as much on their 7.62x54R ammo[:D] Ammo is pretty hot and burns fairly clean, the only problem you might have is with the bolt not wanting to open easily due to the lacquer bonding to the chamber under the firing heat and pressure. I try to keep the laquered ammo in the autos so that they cycle while the case is still hot. I'd stick with the S&B as it is a copperwashed steel case and cycles easier. The goop around the primer and bullet is a sealant to keep the cartridge sealed from moisture.
