SKS History
I bought an SKS at a tradesday for a steal and am curious on how to find out when and where exactly it was made, and such. The only markings I can find on it are: On the right front of the barrel it has CUGIR ROMANIA MDL 56 7.62x39 C.A.I. ST. ALB. VT. so I know it is Romanian Model 56. On the top of the action GM 2316. On the left side of the reciever RB2347-1960. And RB2347 on just about every other part of the gun. It also has a bayonet and has been well taken care of as it shows no signs of wear or even ever being fired. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
