remington mohawk 45
Hi. I am a new member and I wonder if anyone has any experience with a Remington Mohawk 45? We have one that we are looking to sell and we have no idea what it is worth, Are there a million of them out there? Does anyone care about them? Any info would be nice. Thanks.

just my 2cents - yes, there are a zillion of them out there - no, nobody really cares about them BUT it is a pretty tough little shooter & if its of no use to you i'm sure someone will buy it for a pickup chuncker- please know that i'm in no way downgrading your rifle- theres no such thing as a worthless firearm - but on 2nd thought i don't see as many floating around as in years past- in any case if it was mine i'd expect around $75 in very good shape - luck to ya

I know Remington made a .22 called a Mohawk and a big bore model 600 with the same name, But what the heck is a mohawk 45??[:o)] 0 -
Ditto on what bigcountry asked. Would appreciate any information on this arm. 0 -

Nothing intended here other than the facts...
The minute you put Mohawk in front of the Remington name, you have the "utility" version of an already utility gun.
Cheaper stock, pressed checkering (if any at all). Poorer overall finish.
What you don't have is a gun that's any less safe or less accurate that its more expensive kin.
Value will fall about 10 to 15 percent less than the more expensive Remingtons condition to condition... Just about the same as when sold new.

Could that "5" be an "8" so as to make it a Mohawk 48? 0 -
It's a movie, Last of the Mohawks. and maybe only 45 is left. 0 -
i just called and talked to our original poster. she says its a mohawk 48 12ga with the choke bored out to cyl for steel shot. i quoted 175.00 on a good day. everyone with me? 0 -
Sorry!! it is a remington Mohawk 48. I thought my hubby said 45. It is a 12 gauge shotgun that has had the barrel bored out so that it now is able to shoot steel shot. It has a gold trigger and has recently had the firing pin replaced. Any info or if anyonw might like to buy it, let me know. thanks again! 0
