S&W 79G air pistol---HELP!!

Would like any information I can get about these guns. When were they built and for how long? Are parts still available? and if so how can I order? What are common problems or do they have any? Would you recommend for target shooting? Is there a way to adjust trigger? Why does the one I recently purchased leak all the gas out as soon as cartridge is punctured? Any thing else you think I need to know?

  These were made in the 1970's for Smith & Wesson; they never said who actually made the guns for them. There are models in both .17 & .22. They are close in size (but not weight) to the S&W M41 .22 target pistol. Not match pistols, but fine for informal practice in your home or yard. Nothing is adjustable other than the sights.
  
  Parts are not available except for seals, which are standard items any air pistol repair shop will have. Fortunately, that sounds like your problem; oil (which should never be used on this gun) will make the seals deteriorate. I believe that there are 4 seals on this gun, 2 internal & 2 external. Unless you are familiar with CO2 pistol repair, see a professional.

  These were built by Daisy for S&W
  
  Use only silicon oil
  
  From my manual
  Put 1 ot 2 drops of silicon oil in where the CO2 cart goes every 250 shots.
  Over tighting the knob to pierce the CO2 cart will damage the seal
  
  It has a rifled barrel adjustable rear and is a great target shooter
  The trigger adjustment take an allen wrench to the allen screw just fwd if the trigger clockwise shortens the pull counter c lengthens it.
  Power is adjusted with the slotted screw in the muzzle full clockwise is full power
  The o-ring part #'s are
  11220 O-ring Piercing pin
  11210 valve seal
  11223 picrcing washer body
  11241 bolt conector.
