Taurus PT111 Millennium
Would like some info on this gun. Anyone heard any bad reviews or had bad experiences with it. I was thinking of getting it for a carry weapon. I looked at others but really like the way this one feels. Thanks.

i own one of these guns,in the 9 mm.i'm not the best shooter but its a little inaccurate after the first couple rounds in a group.i think because of its low wieght only 16.5 oz fully loaded however a little practice and it makes a great carry weapon i take mine nearly everywhere i go and after several hundred rounds i've never had a single feed problem even dirty or with different ammo. i'm very happy with mine and good luck if you decide to get one yourself. 0 -
I've had one for almost two years now, mine shoots just a little bit low and to the left to the point of aim, but as long as I remember that, it groups just fine. I've never had any feed or ejection problems at all. I wish Taurus would include two magazines though. I bought a couple of Meggar mags that work well, although they don't have the pinkie finger extension plate. Also, the take down and reassembly is a bit different than you'd think I'd suggest that you consider getting the night sight option, mine are not and now I wish I'd got them. I asked the Taurus rep at the NRA convention in Orlando if there was a option to replace them and was informed that there was not. I'm seriously thinking about getting a PT in 40S&W, and I'll for sure go for the extra forty bucks or so. Wiley Clapp wrote a really favorable review in Shooting Times; Guns and Ammo; or some such mag that Taurus used to have on their web site, don't know if it's still there or not though.
All in all, I like mine!

Hi,the Taurus is a copy of the Kel-Tec with a higher price. The only advantage is it has a safety ,that you don't need. The Night Sights can be added at any time on the Kel-Tec.

It's hard to find bad reviews on any gun in any magazine these days. I have heard good and bad things about the Millenium pistol. I myself have never owned one but I have heard folks sing its praises. I've also heard folks talk about the gun falling apart while firing it.
If it's the same as a Kel Tec then I would probably buy one. Then agian, I'd probably buy the Kel Tec first and spend the extra money on extra ammo.0 -
After doing some checking on this pistol I am going to look into something else. I called Taurus and it will not shoot the +P or +P+ ammo. I dont know anything about it being a copy of the kel tec but I do know that Taurus bought the beretta plant and has copied their designs. I would like to find something that will shoot the +P and +P+ ammo. Its hard to find something small enough and light enough to conceal that I dont have to put my little finger under the gun because the grip is to short.
