Mossberg 550 & Maverick 88 Interchangeable?

Hi Experts,

Have another question: Are Mossberg 500 shotgun parts interchangeable with the Maverick 88 shoyguns. Specifically need to know if the barrels are compatable.

  I'm pretty sure they interchange. There are some differences between the guns, but I think it involves the receivers. Check with Mossberg, they could probably give you a lot of info in that department.

  The main difference in the current 500 and 88 guns is the location of the safety. 95% of the parts interchange. Barrels interchange so long as you are using the same length magazine tube. there are 5 and 7 shot tubes.
