for nunn or any sig 226 doctor, help!
ok...who knows the factory standard recoil spring rating (in lbs) on an old sig 226 9mm? and, who can sell me a spring to handle milspec ammo and a shock buffer? im picking up my night drop gun tomorrow and want it working right...without the frame cracking again! thanks in advance!

I am not allowed to use anything but factory parts in repairing our SIGArms pistols, so I never use anything but the factory recoil spring and no buffer. Ours are all .40 caliber and none has cracked yet.
I am thinking that your gun either had a defective frame and QC didn't catch it, or it had A LOT of rounds through it. Yours is the only case of a SIG frame cracking that I have heard of.

it had a lot of rounds thru it. it went thru maaaany seal tactical courses and kept pace with all my chums with their govt guns that got pampered with rebuilds every 20,000 rounds iaw govt contract rules. hmmmm....why would sig agree to that if they didnt know of a problem!? hmmmm. anyway....not much sense owning a sig if it cant shoot milspec rounds in my opinion! but here i am getting another one! its like my third hand. now, if only i can get it to last another 150,000 rounds!
