Remington 870TB
I recently acquired a Remington 870TB Wingmaster. The gun has 4 interchangable barrels of various chokes. One barrel labeled "skeet" has a wider portion near the end which is ventilated. There are 6 inserts that screw into the end of this ventilated portion. They are all labeled "Lyman" and have various choke designations. Three are short (1") and 3 are long (21/2-3"). Any and all information would be appreciated. References I could research on my own also would be helpful. Ideas on value?

The device with the changeable chokes is a Cutts Compensator. The TB trap was made from 1950 to 1981. There is a lettered date code on the original barrel whichever one that is. My guess on value is about $400 for the original gun and $100 apiece for the three extra barrels. It should be a 12 gauge and have really nice wood. It doesn't matter what you paid,it is a really nice gun to be used and enjoyed for generations. 0 -
