Bulgaria 9x18 VALUE OF?
I have a Special Edition Makarou 9x18 made in Bulgaria in SS w/blk. rubber grips.On oppisite side of bbl is scrolled Miltex Inc.,La Plate Maryland.,USA..Gun is 95-98% Any info would be greatly appreciated.

MILTECH was the major importer of firearms of all types from Bulgaria up until around 2000 when they closed up shop. MILTECH also imported some very nice trigger locks produced in Bulgaria-- I still have a few. I am out of town tonight but I have three Bulgarian Makorov's myself and one is a MILTECH commercial pistol. I am not sure that your pistol is actually stainless, it is probably the optional silver matt finish which MILTECH offered on these pistols for a short time. In the condition you describe your pistol it is worth around $125-$150 retail with a 20% to 25% premium for the optional finish-- which many buyers won't like; the military finish is far more popular with Makarov owners. These are nice pistols and I've been to the factory in Bulgaria where they were produced.

Stay away from the SOG imported Pole jobs. I ordered three and sent them ALL back. Trigger pull, when I could get one to pull and drop, was about 30 pounds plus. Shame too because they are very nice looking pistols.
