Non existent gun?
I have a Savage Arms pump 30-30 and it seems to be nonexistent. We have taken it to dealers and inquired about it at gun shows and no one seems to know anything about it. The only thing that is on the gun is: WestPoint Model 474 Series B Cal 30-30 Win Savage Arms Westfild, Mass U.S.A. If anyone knows anything about this gun it would be of great help.

A phone call or letter to Savage arms might be your best source of info.

Do a search here, try to find a model 170 Savage. That should be very similar to what you have. The name your gun carries is a "house brand" designation. Model 170 rifles sell here for about $175 or so, more for ones in like new condition.

Thanks but I've already tried the 170 model. I actually had a dealer look at it yesterday and we came to the conclusion that the two were nothing alike.
