Speaking of
books,what is your favorite publication
in regards to gun values and why?I have
the Blue Book,Gun Traders Guide,R.L.Wilson
and Flaydermans.In comparing prices,I do find
some differences but not a lot.I usually grab
the Gun Traders Guide first because(at least
to me)it's easier(faster) to find what I'm
looking for,and many times the pictures help
to ID a gun.It also has more info on each gun
which also helps to ID a gun.This is simply
my opinion.What's yours?Flaydermans,of course,
concentrates on the "antique guns" so it's kinda
in a different class.

I buy the blue book and standard catalogs in alternate years so I have one no more than 2 years old. I also use Balderson's Official Price Guide to Antique and Modern Firearmsthough it is not updated frequently. They all have their strengths and weakness, and contain differing information in many cases so that they compliment each other when you are reserching a particular firearm. If I am traveling to a show, I generally carry the Blue Book as it is more compact and is a decent if not infallible guide to firearms. Prices seem to be mostly blue sky in all of them.
