Old Meridien shotgun
I have obtained an old Meridien Firearms Company 12 ga dbl shotgun It is a side by side. It appears to be in good shape but needs a new stock What material is the stock? the patent pending date stamped on the gun is 1907. I would like to find out the history of these vintage guns as well as value and mainly if a stock or stcok blank can be purchased. thanks

These were utilitarian shot guns. Such models were made in large numbers and command no collector interest, thus their monetary value remains modest, no more than $250 in like new condition, and value drops quickly as condition declines. Unless this shotgun has a lot of family history and emotional attachments (like if it was granddads shotgun) it is probably not worth much expense to restore.
