Looking for info. about a liberty 21 by Liberty arms comp. It is a six shot rev. Wondering what it's worth and when it was made.

    There was a Liberty Arms Works that made revolvers between about '91 and '96, and several other arms makers/dealers named Liberity including one in the 1880's-90's, and one in Spain. I find no model 21 listed. The Arms works revolver in several calibers is going for around $495 in 100% condition.

    At best I can make you a guess. Any clue as to the age of the revolver? Could it have been made in the 1890's? Does it shoot .22s, L, LR, .22 short RF? Chances are good this revolver will come in at somewhere between $50 and $150.

    all it say is cal. 22. it looks to have some age on it but it no were near the 1890s. the gun look to be cheaply made. you have to remove the Cy. rod to eject the brass. It looks about like a S&W Rev.
    it has about a 2in barrel with S.S finish.

    one of my references list a liberty 11 and liberty 21 as being manufactured by hubert schmidt of ostheim a-d-rhon, germany. this company was in business in the 1950's and 1960's with most of their production being exported to the u.s.a.

    It does have Germany on the trigger. Any clue at what it might be worth.

    b.goforth has this one pegged--I have worked on them and they are an H.Schmidt, Germany, product similar to the Colt Frontier Scout (single action thumb cocker)and were produced under several names like Buffalo Scout. They seem to give better service than they should, as usually the only steel parts on them are the screws, barrel liner, and cylinder. Parts are usually available from the Numrich Gun Parts Corp. I'd say used, in 85% conditon one is worth about $65-85.
