THE MARLIN 30-30 IS SCOPED WITH A BSA 3X10X52 AND THE SAVAGE 270 IS SCOPED WITH A TASCO. I CANT REMEMBER WHAT SIZE BUT WASNT AS BIG.

Around here the Savage would sell for a little more than the Marlin. You didn't mention if the Savage was used, or what condition it is in. Alot of people I know like Savage and like the 270 round. If you like the deal, go for it.

Hard work pays off in the future. Laziness pays off now.

If this is a even up trade. One thing is for sure your 30-30 is worth more than the Savage. These guys don't be in business long if they make even up trades. Not saying they are taking you, but every deal they need to make a few bucks. If you like the gun do the deal, were not talking about great amounts of money.

The Marlin depending on how used it is is worth about $250.00 on a trade if that helps you.

Is the Savage used? What type of Tasco scope does it have? Is the Savage one of the 110 series?

From my knowledge, Savage centerfire rifles tend to be accurate and dependable. [:)]

Make the Trade....but exchange the Scope......If the Dealer won't go for the deal...Forget it...The BSA scope is worth more than the Tasco....Just a personal observation......

I'll 2nd what captkirk said about the scopes if you do decide to trade the guns......however.....me being a fan of lever guns I wouldn't make the trade on the guns.
