USING WINCHESTER 1300 BARRELS ON 1200 RECEIVERS

I am under the impression that model 1300 barrels can be safely used on model 1200 actions. Is this true? I have a 2 3/4" model 1200 that I'd like to get a rifled shotgun barrel for (the gun currently has a modified choke upland barrel). There appears to be no supply of model 1200 barrels of any type, but if a 1300 barrel will work that would be ideal.

I also note that the 1300 barrels I have seen are only marked as 3", and my 1200 receiver is built for 2 3/4" shells. Can you shoot 2 3/4" sabot slugs/deer rounds through a barrel advertised as 3"? Thanks.

    I have a Ranger 1200 that I use a 1300 rifled slug barrel on. My barrel has 2 3/4 and 3 " stamped on the side ( it's a Winchester barrel). I've shot both size slugs thru it and they work fine. I've used this gun like this for many years and it's very accurate with sabot slugs. Chas.

    JOHN , CHAS IS RIGHT THE BARRE WILL FIT AND SHOULD FUNCTION FINE.
    3'' BARRELS WILL HANDLE BOTH 23/4'' & 3'' SHELLS , BUT 3'' OF COURSE
    SHOULD NOT BE SHOT IN 23/4'' AND 3 '' WILL FIT INTO 23/4 ''CHAMBER BECAUSE A FIRED 23/4 IS APP. SAME LENGHT AS UNFIRED 3" DUE TO THE CRIMP.
