No markings that i could see.
It seems like all modern guns do. I would say the gun is 95%+ condition. The barrel is browned.

A person would actually have to See the Gun in person to be able to evaluate it properly....36 Caliber is a Squirrel Caliber...Hawkins Rifles were for the most .50 Caliber or Bigger...The Hawkins Plains Rifles were 1/2 stocked and made for Buffalo and Plains Grizzly Bears..
The .36 caliber Plains Rifle up against a Grizzly would just tic Him Off! The Light Caliber also had a propencity for Fouling...and required that you take the time to swab the Bore quite often.....I've owned many muzzle loaders over the years...The Light Caliber Guns just never got me excited....and I always Traded or Sold them off, and for the reasons explained...You say the Maker told you that the Barrel came from an Armory...I find it difficult to understand why an Armory would have such a Light caliber barrel in its inventory!!! Military Calibers were always large enough to Reach out and Touch someone at extreme ranges and Knock them Down and keep them Down... and the .36 caliber Rifle sure is'nt one of them!...If You can Post a Photo and give a discription detailing the Makers Name of the Triggers and Lock Plate would be a start...What Kind of Furniture has the rifle Got? Brass, Iron or German Silver? Butt Plate Iron or Brass? Patch box?
Escutions Brass or Iron or German Silver...Details....Need lots of Details.....

I will try to get some digital photos in the next few days. Is there a way to post them on this forum?

posting photos envolves hosting them on another site and linking them here on the board. Ask how over on the general discussion board and guys or gals who do it alot will walk you through it.
