How does one get -1 replies here on GB?

I made this picture a jpg so it is smaller, thus it reduced its clarity, but check out the top post... -1 replies. How the heck do you do that (BTW, there were 3 replies when I took this screenshot)?

I just did a few things which might have duplicated the example you shared with us, without luck.
That wasn't a "doctored" screen capture like my "stickies" one?
