stevens savage model 333 12 guage

I picked this up in pristine condition and have the box and papers also. 28 inch barrells over and under. Was wondering about value of the gun. Everett[:D]

    Got me kind of confused on this? Found the 333 listed in the BB, under Savage. Not sure it's the same shotgun?
    It was one of the guns made by Valmet ( Finland ), for Savage in the 70's.
    It's listed between $470 & $550 in the condition you describe. That MIGHT be low, their highly thought of and have a excellent reputation.

    I bought a 333 Savage/Valmet in new condition but without papers and box for $575 about 4 years ago and was happy to get it, so I'd say you are a bit low, although at the time I thought mine was a bit high. I would like a full set of all of the 12 guage 333s, so I always do searches of the Gun List and the auctions specifically for that model. I'd say $650-675 would be a fair starting price for it. The 28" is the easiest to find, then the 26", and then the 333T (got all of those), and then 30" 2 3/4" and then the 30" 3" Magnum. Those last two are rare as hen's teeth. All 333s are scarce in the market since most people who own one hang onto it .
    These guns and the plainer, lighter, 330s are outstanding "users". As I understand it, they are a Finnish re-design of the German Kreighoff re-design of the Remington 32. They are specifically designed to work in the coldest conditions and all the "controls" are designed to work with gloved hands. Keeper!

    Thanks for the help! Gun was my Dad's who was collecter of shotguns and it has to be early 70's version.Everett
