Bushmaster vs Rock River
Just when I THINK I have my mind made up on my first ar15...Here's the question: Which is the better rifle, the bushmaster vmatch, or the rock river varmint. The rock river really catches my eye with the ss barrel, and its only 40 bucks more, but is the quality as good? Anyone with a rock river out there got praises or complaints?

I have a R.R. tactical and a varmint model to. I enjoy them very much. Never had a problem with either of them. Have taken many of coyote with the varmint. 0 -
check the specs on the bushmaster site. one nice feature is that the expelled shell casings are deflected so you dont have to chase them down if you reload. they collect in a neat little pile. i have a bushmaster but it is the realtree camo version standard barrel. its a quality firearm at a reasonable price. i would not let the stainless barrel on the rr sway your choice. check out the details on each weapon and compare them side by side. one may have a feature that you may like. personally, i think fluted barrels are over-rated in terms of accuracy....but they look cool. i know they dissapate the heat better and reduce the weight. nothing that i would notice for my type of shooting. pay special attention to the placement of the heat vents on the forearm. make sure the vents are on the sides and bottom...not the top. the top heat vents will give you a "mirage" as the heat dissapates past the scope bell. 0
