Roberts civil war military rifle

Need info on value and specs of a 38' barrel civil war rifle it says 1884 and side plate and also trenton and has a us eagle inscribed also, it also says roberts pat 1867. it looks like it is some sort of breach loader design but it has a ramrod. dont know cal. please help

  You got a real interesting combination there.
  
  1), The "TRENTON" contract, Model 1861 U. S. Percussion Rifle-Musket was made by the Trenton Locomotive and Machine Company during the Civil War ( circa 1863-1864)
  
  
  2), The "ROBERTS" was a breech-loading conversion of the above 1861 percussion rifle that was developed after the Civil War. It wasn't successful in this country, but was used in Europe to a limited extent.
  
  3), If the barrel is dated 1884 it is probably a 45-70 barrel, originally fabricated for a Trap-Door Springfield. The date on the barrel wouldn't be contemporary to the above conversion.
  
  
  My WAG is that somebody rebarreled the original conversion. Kind of interesting to speculate who did it? Bannerman was famous for this kind of thing, it might be some of his handiwork?
