Wrong roll stamp on Remington 7600 pump 30-06
Just won a Remington 7600 pump 30-06 last night. While looking at it, I noticed it was stamped incorrectly as "7400" which is an auto load. Called Remington customer service. The serial # is for a "7600". Was told this was a "one of a kind". How much does a wrong roll stamp increase the value of this rifle.

Maybe you should see if it shoots. It sounds like they may have put a 7400 barrel on a 7600. The 7400 will have a gas port if that in fact is the case and there may be a gas leak when it is fired.

the rem. 7600/7400's are marked on the receiver, the receivers are nearly identical, it would be very hard to put a 7400 barrel on either receiver and still have it function as a pump, the forend tube would interfere with the gas tube block. price wise it's what the buyer is willing to pay. these aren't collectable. 0
