BIG EIBAR
i have a double barrel shotgun 'BIG EIBAR'. it has some nice engraving on the breech of quail&pheasant.it very lightweight and a full and modified 20ga barrels,two triggers and extracter.can you help with its origin and value?[?]

"EIBAR" refers to the Eibar region of Spain (a famous gun manufacturing area in the Basque region of Spain), so your shotgun was made in Spain.

It is marked 'EIG - EIBAR' not "BIG - EIBAR".
EIG Cutlery was a major importer of guns from Spain, Germany and Italy in the 1960's. Further investigation of any other markings on the gun (maybe on the water table or underside of the barrels) may lead us to the actual manufacturer.
Value would be as a shooter, around $300-$400 I'd imagine for a lightweight 20ga with decent eye appeal.0 -
