.32 Whitney Arms Rolling Block
I have a Whitney Arms .32 rimfire. It is a rolling block, octagon steel barrel. Serial # 68692. The finish is blued on the barrel and looks almost nickel plated on the receiver. Barrel length is 28.5 inches. I have been to numerous gunsmiths and dealers and no one can give me any info on this gun. Is it that rare of a gun or are we just missing something. Please help !

If your absolutely sure about it being a rimfire it's what Flayderman call's a "WHITNEY-LAIDLEY STYLE I ROLLING BLOCK ACTION", "SPORTING & TARGET RIFLE".
These rifles were very similar to the Remington Rolling Block, BUT enough different that they wouldn't infringe on the Remington patents.
They were made in limited unknown quanties.Between the early 70's and the early 80's
Flayderman notes that the barrels were marked "Whitneyville Armory" along with various patent dates. If your barrel is unmarked perhaps it's a replacement?0
