Winchester 1905
I was checking one out at the gunshow today. I thought it was pretty neat. I Have never seen one befor so I started checking the auctions. I have found a few of them ranging from $250 to $12000.
Also thay are in 32 and 35 cal.
Can anyone tell me anything about these guns? And the calibers? If I buy one I mighy take it deer hunting.
Also are magizenes available for them? One I found was missing the mag but was in pretty good shape. And was at a pretty low price.

I have a Winchester 1905 in .32 WSL. I am looking for ammunition for shooting, not collecting. I'm not really interested in loading my own shells. Is there anyone out there who still shoots a 1905 and might have some advice? 0 -
Good luck.... There are a couple of places that sell obselete ammo like that, but it's very pricey. The only way to do it reasonably is to buy some formed brass and load your own (had a similiar situation with my buddy wanting to shoot his 1905 is 35WSL. I looked in my latest GunList and there weren't any ads in there this issue. Maybe somebody can give you some direction on where to get the brass.... 0 -
we have a reliable scource for brand new unfired formed brass. we have the dies. we have produced handloads in this chambering before. the biggest problem with this and other old, oddball, and obsolete cartridges is the start-up cost. the initial lay out of cash for the componants for the first batch often scares off shooters. once you have the brass, the cost for having them reloaded is pretty reasonable.

Old Western Scrounger has it, but be prepared to spend $1.25-1.50 a round for it.
Some guys like a mag full of lead, I still prefer one round to the head.0 -
