Moly Coatings
I've been experimenting with powdered "moly" coated bullets to reduce copper fouling in my rifle barrels. It seems to work but it's a pain. It does reduce copper fouling, but it's messy. I don't know of any other negatives at this point. Anybody had any experience with this. Thanks in advance.

This question gets posed about every month or so.
There are just about equal numbers on each side of the issue.
Rick Jamison, of G&A, did an extensive research on this subject a couple of years ago. His findings were that moly really didn't make much of a difference in the accuracy department, it dropped pressures (and velocities) and could build up in bores if not carefully monitored. His final comments were that non-moly'd bullets were just as good as moly'd.
I gave up on the messy stuff when I had similar personal findings and it took almost forever to get the stuff out of the bores.
