M1 Paratroop Carbine

I have just purchased a M1a1 Paratroop carbine and would like to know the seial no. block for 1942. Mine is in the 236XXX range with the barrel marked Gen Motors 10-42

  "First run" Inland M1A1 carbines were produced within the 50,000-950,000 range; specific serial #s were not assigned to these carbines. All parts should be "correct" for any original carbine produced during this time, and the stock should have all proper markings.
  
  Hopefully you consulted with an expert, or at least read some reference books, before making this purchase.
